[On two other occasions, I've devoted an entire issue (every article) to a
single author. However, this is the first time that I've even given over
my editorial space to the author that has contributed every other article
in this issue! Welcome to the A ll Anna (Annastasia, AlexyAnna, etc.),
All The Time issue of the Avatar Gazette! - Diz]
To me, helping other players is not wrong if you help them in the RIGHT
way. If the CR is not in an aggie area or room, try to walk them back, it
helps a lot, trust me. I like to give spellups, and maybe I give more than
I should. It all depends on what mood I am in when you ask me. When they
ask for a piece of eq, maybe it's better to tell them what area then give
them flat out directions or transport them there, because what happens
when they need another of the same item? Or, maybe you can walk them
somewhere, slowly, pointing out "landmarks" along the way to help them
remember how to get there. If they ask for eq, you can walk them as well,
or give them general hints and tag along when they get confused or need
minor assistance.
About spell ups... Instead of giving them a spellup, you could show them
how to tank and WHERE to tank with how many groupies so they don't need
any, or you can send them in a general direction to get potions or the
like. The more self sufficient the player is made now, the more easier it
will be for them later on. -- Anna

10. Brag about your hp to other Sprites.
11. Hold a mud wide celebration when you break 1,000 hp.
12. Hold a mud wide celebration if you EVER get the last sword hit on a
mob.
13. Wonder constantly why Sprites do not get many groups.
14. Learn the art of Soloing.
15. And of course. Learn the art of dying.

The Art of Sponging
Billy Joe Bob put on his mana gear
And said he was a hitter
Went here and there, far and near
Looking for a group
When he did find one,
He thought it would be
No work and all fun
For he was a true sponge
He never smashed or let out a kick
All he did was make
The tank very sick
(of him.)
He never rescued the others there
Even though he had 16k hp at hero 531
(Jealous stare)
for he was a TRUE sponge.
Yet, because he was a sponge, to this day,
This very moment -
We laugh and say
"Look there's Billy Joe Bob, on who group,
forevermore."

5. The Best Group? By Anna
________________________________
To me, the best group consists of your friends, whether new or old, close
or not. It's the relaxed, casual, always laughing groups that are the most
fun - not the groups that are fueled by a need for the best experience
possible.
Tension can run high in those groups, and what do you gain? A few levels
that mean nothing more than a number upon a screen. But with groups you
enjoy, you gain happiness (laughter burns calories!), and you further
strengthen the friendship bonds that so frequently appear here on Avatar.
Whether you get 10 exp or 10k, it doesn't matter, because in the end, you
shouldn't be judged by your level or rank in the game, but how you treat
others and respect them.
The levels you have will not last forever... the memories you gain from
having friends here will.
